Default C. Brawl's Leavers en messe

I've been having quite a bit of fun with a few groups I played with this weekend and was able to get at least 17 wins at best but for much of the other games there's just one problem with people who simply can't grasp the idea we could turn a losing match around and keep going. In this I mean possibly 4 points difference and someone has to drop.

Believe it or not, this is starting to remind me of how bad it was before we had the dishonor system in place with anyone not happy with group setup ready to bail on a moment's notice. If they get penalty, just wait it off or log back in after 10 min an go like it's nothing... Must there be some reason we have to keep putting up with that? Seriously, there really has to be a good one here. In fact have someone from the dev team answer this.

What's this like with you guys?

same thing one can also put it to you:

must players put up with people who insist on fighting when its obvious player's A team with 1 or 2 people who go round solo 5 players and getting themselves killed but refused to resign and report player A for refusing to do anything when player A know such teams won't win, wasting more of a player's time in the process by causing so said player to have dishonor? or people reporting others for leeching for refusing to move over like a grand 10 seconds?

the dishonor system was already flawed in that process. If someone leaves, just /resign and join again with another team. You don't like others to leave, others also don't like you to waste their time.

Anet could like put all the people who loves to leave constantly especially those who leave even if the team they are in are winning/no good reason whatsoever, with other frequent leavers in the queue, tho i doubt its possible for them to do something like that.

While I do agree that the system is flawed, it does however seem more of a hate crime then anything else. However it's nothing I can be blamed from being guilty of. Obviously players should know enough to at least get this agreed upon before jumping to conclusions. Either new players don't know better or some might be willing to farm out balth to make up for their loss when the cause is pointless.

This. The design of PvP in general is so stupid that loosing players feel they're wasting their time. So whenever the opposing team leads by 2 points people start leaving so they don't waste their time further.

It's all in the rewards.... or the lack of. People don't play for the fun of PvP, they play for the rewards/title points. Since looser gets nothing = in all PvP matches half the players involved (the loosing half) are wasting their precious time.

There you go

Wasting time is like this...

pug group. leave, pug another group. leave, find good group. streak a lil.... lose! pug another group. leave, eat penalty. break/log in 10min later. Cycle/repeat.

tot collectors like this just don't care how bad it cheats everyone of their game. They find whoever is good enough they'll stick around long as it keeps the gravy train rollin. Group with no gravy, heh go **** yourselves! Leave, pug another group....

Tbh, it really is no fun when its 2 - 10 and your team is full of morons. I've had a Warrior using a sword, an ele with a hammer and a Rit with a Bow.

Not saying I am leaving, just sayin there really is a point where you cbf with them and just want to leave.

I gave up on CB when after playing 3 matches I'd lost all 3. Couldn't be bothered after that and haven't looked back since. And yes when my 'team' was losing by more than 5 points we started losing players.

The leavers are a bit of a pain to say the least. I personally enjoy the Brawl.

I think the main problem is people give up in the first minute of their team isn't 'winning' or there's is too many of one class.

This. I can consistently realize when my team will lose, unless they're actually good & can work a miracle. But when I tell my team to just resign, I always get johnny rambo saying "y lol we can still winz dis".

They should get punished for being retarded if I can't leave.

You know what's worse than leavers? No loaders.

QFT. CB is enjoyable even if you loose (winning despite the bad start is actually a lot of fun). Early leavers may be the ones that want a quick return.

EDIT: I wonder if dishonorable applies to CB?

This is the main reason I gave up on CB. Out of 10 games I did, loss 8 and of those 8 games, 1-3 people didn't load.

I didn't give up, because Costume Brawl is so fun. But, I do agree it's frustrating that in most of my new teams have no loaders.

Yeah, it does count. I saw someone with a hex in the outpost.

Many people would call playing a video game as waste of time; If you can't waste a few more minutes just don't do CB.

I think they should make the punishments harsher for Costume Brawl. Everyone is supposed to be there in celebration, so by leaving you're just ruining the fun. I think leechers/leavers should get a hefty lengthed ban before they can play again.

Give a 2-5 hour ban to anyone reported for leeching, or any leavers and they should go away within the next day or so.

Abusers/griefers would report everyone, thus making the remedy worse than the problem.
